Making the Most out of the FASTPASS® feature
The FASTPASS system is a free ticket feature that saves your place in line on some of DISNEYLAND Resort’s most popular attractions.
FASTPASS is currently available on the following attractions:
- Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye
- Haunted Mansion (Only available during the Holiday Makeover)
- Splash Mountain
- Big Thunder Mountain
- Roger Rabbits Cartoon Spin
- Autopia
- Space Mountain
- Soarin' Over California
- Grizzly River Run
- Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror
- California Screamin
- Goofy's Sky School
- Grizzly River Run
- Radiator Springs Racers
How does it work?
Each park (Disneyland and California Adventure) has their own FASTPASS system network. So it is possible for you to have a separate FASTPASS for the same time frame from two different parks. This is not recommended, since making your posted time at both parks would be difficult.

Once you receive a FASTPASS you will notice a return and end time on the ticket. The most important part of this ticket is the return time.
The return time will let you know when you can ride the attraction and when you can retrieve your next FASTPASS ticket. However there is one exception. You will be allowed to retrieve another Fastpass two hours after the time you collected the last Fastpass. For example, you collect a Fastpass at 10am and the return time says 3pm-4pm on the Fastpass ticket. With this two hour rule, you will actually be able to collect another Fastpass at 12pm. It is basically whatever comes first. Two hours or the return time on the Fastpass.
The last thing to keep in mind is that Radiator Springs Racers, California Screamin, and World of Color attractions are not on the network and therefore you can grab a FASTPASS for that attraction at any time.
How to use the FASTPASS:
The Disneyland Resort has recently made a change where the Fastpasses must be used at the time that is specified on the FASTPASS Ticket. With a few exceptions.
1) The attraction breaks down during your return time. The Cast Member will state that you can come back at anytime and use your existing Fastpass, but I would still go up to the Cast Member and verify. Get the name of the Cast Member if you have to.
2) Unknown to most guests is that the Cast Members will actually give you an extra 15 minutes after the posted time on your ticket to use your Fastpass. They are fully aware that sometimes you are having a meal, stuck on another attraction, or waiting to get around a show like a parade. They will work with you.
3) If you have a prior reservation for a meal or a show. Make sure the Cast Members at the restaurant or show help you with this. A receipt is sometimes all you need to show the attraction Cast Member.
In which order should I get my Fastpass?
With the changes that I stated above you need to know how and when to retrieve your Fastpasses.
