Tour Reports: Good Day Mate

I received a request for a tour from an Australian family that were visiting the Disneyland Resort for the first time and had only one day to see everything. They found the Mouse Expedition website via our YELP page and decided to give the tour a go. The tour included Disneyland and California Adventure with the World of Color show.

Tip of the Week: How to find your Favorite Disney Character at the Parks

There are always the old standbys when looking for that one specific Disney Character. For example, Mickey will be at his house in Tootown, and Winnie the Pooh will be near the Winnie the Pooh Attraction in Critter Country.

However, if you are looking for that one specific and favorite character and don't have the time to walk around Disneyland or California Adventure searching for them, you can just go to the Disneyland or California Adventure Wait Time Board and ask the Cast Member where that particular character will be throughout the day. They might need to make a call to find out, but you should get your answer before you leave.

The Disneyland Wait Time Board is located at the end of Main Street and in front of the Jolly Holiday Bakery. The California Adventure Wait Time Board is located to the right of the Carthay Circle Theater.

The question above is far and away the number one question that we always receive. The number one answer we usually give is YES. However, there are certain ways to tell if your trip to the Disneyland Resort will be busy or uncrowded.

California Adventure: 2012 Merchandise

Buena Vista Street progress is moving rapidly and with that comes a sneak peak of the merchandise that you will be buying from these new shops.

The thing I find interesting about these pictures is the focus on Route 66. I have a strong feeling that this could be giving us a clue on the upcoming advertising campaign.

California Adventure: Cars Land Official Preview Site

Disney has opened an official site for Cars Land and you can view it HERE. We still hear that this new land for California Adventure will open in June (largely depends on Buena Vista Street finishing on time), but I guess we will have to visit the site and view some of the pictures below in the meantime.

California Adventure: Minnie's Fly Girls

On February 17th California Adventure will feature a new show called Minnie's Fly Girls. The show will take place near Soarin' Over California and will feature singing and dancing to songs from the 40's, 50's, 60's.

I happy that Disney is at least trying to stay theme appropriate with this show, as most of the new California Adventure will be themed during the same time period.

Disney Parks: Anaheim GardenWalk soon to be Disney GardenWalk?

For those of you that do not know, Gardenwalk is a Entertainment Complex (aka shopping mall) located just east of the Disneyland Resort. The retail tenants are almost non existent, but they do offer a movie theater, a gym, huge bowling alley, and some very popular restaurants on Katella Avenue.

Due to its hard times, Disney is looking into purchasing this Entertainment Complex and it isn't necessarily for the complex, but for the land that it sits on.

California Adventure: Mad Tea Party

The nighttime dance party at California Adventure ElecTRONica will be leaving the park this Spring and in the Summer will come The Mad Hatter's Mad Tea Party.

Disneyland: Jolly Holiday Bakery NOW OPEN

Mary Poppins finally received a location at the Disneyland Resort. Unfortunately, it wasn't an attraction, but a new Main Street Bakery.

The Plaza Inn will give the bakery the space it always needed and the original location will expand into an indoor seating area for the current Carnation Cafe.

Disneyland Resort: 2 Parks for $99

Its discount time for all Southern California Residents at the Disneyland Resort. You can can now purchase one day at Disneyland and one day at California Adventure for the low price of $99.



The special runs from January 4th 2012 to June 9th 2012 and the first ticket must be used by June 8th 2012. Keep in mind that there is a rumor that Cars Land could open in May. I personally doubt it, but the rumor is out there and could help you decide when to purchase this special offer.

California Adventure: Radiator Springs Racers COMPLETE Ride-Through

The magic of YouTube strikes again and this time someone uploaded the complete Radiator Springs Racer attraction in computer generated form. Be warned this video is heavy on the SPOILERS where you will virtually ride the track layout, see the story line, and hear the soundtrack.

Mouse Expedition: Happy New Year

Unfortunately, New Years Eve didn't turn up all that well at the Disneyland Resort due to Mother Nature's decision to bring in the fog. You can follow the highlights on our Facebook Page and here are some videos of the World of Color and Firework Celebrations at the resort.

Disney Parks: Leap Year Event

Disneyland in Anaheim and the Magic Kingdom in Orlando will be celebrating the special day (Feb 29th to Mar 1st) by operating both parks for 24 hours straight. Furthermore, Disney will be giving away 60 vacation packages for this special event.
