Tip of the Week: Where to watch Fantasmic

Fantasmic at Disneyland turns 20 years old next year (man I am getting old) and I thought it was time to share our tips on watching this great show


#1 avoid the first show like the plague and wait for the second show. Reason being that in order to get a decent viewing spot on a busy day for the first show you will need to be in the viewing area two hours before the show starts.
#2 be around New Orleans Square by the time the first show ends. You will basically move to your spot while the first show starts to leave.
#3 bring something like a blanket to sit on if you can. During certain seasons the pavement can be quite cold.
#4 spread out when you get your spot. Other guests can be quite rude and will try to squeeze their way in, which will make your sitting situation uncomfortable.

Mouse Expedition's Viewing Recommendation Map:

RED = Sweet Spots - 1 is the BEST - 2 is standing room only, but it is good if you arrive late or really want to see the 9pm show. Don't worry about the Lighting Tower that will be in the way, it will move up right before showtime.
BLUE = Lighting Towers - There are 3 of them but you want to be near the middle tower
YELLOW = The path you take to get to the Sweet Spot for the second show, while the first show is finishing up.
